White Emergo Runner Bean Seeds
This tried and tested variety of runner bean grows vigorously even in poor weather conditions, and yields large harvests. The long, smooth pods are known for their excellent flavour, and the delicate white flowers that appear before the pods add a beautiful ornamental touch to your vegetable garden. This is a climbing variety that can reach an impressive 3m (10ft) tall!
Number of seeds per pack: Average of 10
- Sow indoors for transplanting later, 5cm (2in) deep in pots of moist compost. Cover with a clear lid and keep warm, at around 20°C.
- Seeds should germinate in 7-14 days. Grow on in cooler conditions then harden off and plant out once all risk of frost has passed.
- Plant in a sunny position with stakes or netting for the plants to climb up.
- Alternatively, sow directly outdoors from May 5cm (2in) deep with 30cm (12in) between seeds.

This is a half-hardy annual and will be ready to harvest within the year of planting. All harvests of runner beans should be cooked before eating.
