Corncockle (Agrostemma githago) Seeds
A beautiful herbaceous annual with five-petalled pink flowers, corncockle is a wonderful addition to any garden. Sadly, this wildflower has seen a dramatic decline in numbers, and is now almost extinct in the wild. Displaying dainty yet eye-catchingly bright magenta flowers from May right through until September, this is an attractive plant to bees and a lovely addition to any flower border or meadow. A tall, upright cornfield annual that can reach up to 1m, corn cockle is great for adding height to any floral display. Each delicate, rounded flower is surrounded with narrow, pointed leaves atop long, elegant stems. Corncockle is a truly wonderful sight in any garden.
