Perhaps the best-known microgreen, cress is one of the easiest and quickest plants you can grow, making it especially good for growing with children. You don’t need any special equipment, just a small plastic tray (such as a recycled fruit punnet) and some kitchen paper or compost. Cress can be grown on any sunny windowsill, and as long as it is kept moist you can be harvesting in just 2 weeks!
